Diggory’s hospitality made our stay unforgettable, especially his warm welcome and sharing stories by the fire. The house’s character, filled with history, made every corner intriguing.

The kitchen advertised as 'fully equipped' left much to be desired, lacking essential items like a microwave or cooker, which was misleading. the selection of bread at breakfast was limited, with just one new loaf and a few stale slices left over from previous guests, leaving some wanting fresher options.

Great outdoor dining area but wi-fi was weak. Breakfast was good.

We had a blast exploring the nearby trails with our kids, soaking in the beautiful views and fresh air. The kids especially loved the spacious garden, where they could run around. It was the perfect spot for family bonding and adventure.

My wife says that it would be great to have more family-friendly dining options nearby.

Dig the owner was super friendly, lit a fire for us on that cold rainy day and shared great tips about the local area. The huge garden made for a pleasant escape and the access to the kitchen was nice for our drinks and snacks.

It wasn’t exactly cheap but for what we got I’d say it was still acceptable.

The private bathroom provides comfort, making it feel cozy even during cooler nights.

With only one bottle of shower gel provided, stocking a bit more would have been appreciated. Breakfast supplies were a bit sparse, with old brown bread from previous guests and no fresh pastries, creating a less-than-ideal morning experience. the cleanliness left something to be desired. cobwebs were visible, and we found it necessary to clean the toilet seat before use. The heating was off when we needed it on—a bit uncomfortable when unwinding in the evening.

This place is unique! It’s a big old house, kind of quirky but super comfy. Fell asleep on one of the big sofas in the lounge. The outdoor dining area was a nice touch for breakfast, although there was a strange smell that hit me when I woke up. the character really makes it a memorable spot!
